SEEDS is a Tunisian environmental documentary about the importance of heirloom (farmer-saved) seeds for food sovereignty. The film focuses on the crucial role of farmers, experts, and civil society in protecting, revitalizing, and multiplying these seeds. Thanks to their broad genetic diversity, they are better adapted to climate change and disease. The film highlights the efforts of local communities and NGOs to create seed banks and preserve agricultural heritage by encouraging the exchange of seeds and knowledge among farmers. This strengthens food sovereignty and ensures access to healthy, safe food for future generations.
